After producing their debut feature film DUSKY PARADISE, Sophie Florentine Schüttfort and Gregory Kirchhoff founded Kimotion Pictures in 2016.

 

DUSKY PARADISE celebrated its world premiere in Krakow in May 2016 and was nominated at various international festivals. Elliot Grove, founder of the Raindance Film Festival and BIFA called it "everything you could ever want from an indie film and more". In 2019 the German / English feature film BAUMBACHER SYNDROME, starring Tobias Moretti and Elit İşcan, followed. The film opened the 53rd International Hofer Filmtage and won Best Film at the Snowdance Film Festival, with the jury calling it "a young masterpiece". It was released on Netflix in 2021.
